Recording

The companion recording includes all the songs in the book played on the dulcimer as the tunes are written. It also includes eleven bonus tabs and recordings of those.  I highly recommend getting this recording if you do not have a 1 1/2 fret on your dulcimer. There are a few songs tabbed out in the book which require the 1 1/2 fret. However, the bonus tab includes versions of each of those tunes which do not require the 1 1/2 fret. There are also 3 bonus tabs of titles that do not appear in the book at all.

This recording comes in 2 versions: a physical CD and a digital download. The physical CD is an enhanced CD that plays like a regular CD, but it can be opened by a computer to access the bonus tablature. Directions on how to access those files come with the CD. The digital download allows you to save everything on the CD on your hard disk or in the cloud. It also saves you shipping costs, especially when it is purchased separately from the book.
